DRIED APRICOTS COMPOTE

Use it both for sweet and salty food.

This compote is easy, quick and with all the ingredients at home it's only to start with the preparation. The result is a fresh and delicious compote without too much sugar.

The compote can be used as filling for cakes, as we did on this baptism cake here, or to something completely different like garnish for a cheese plate. 

Ingredients

100 g dried apricots

1 ss sugar

1 liter water

Tricks!

If you will use it to fill a cake, wait until it's completely cold.

Directions:

Wash the apricots, preferable in warm water. Thereafter, cut each of the apricots in two half parts.

Set water in a saucepan an wait until it starts boiling. Add then the apricots together with the sugar.

Let the apricots simmer to a syrup during aproximately 20-30 min. Pour inn more boiling water as the water in the saucepan evaporates. Remove from heat and let it chill.
